旧長崎税関三池税関支署

九州・山口の近代化遺産の構成資産である三池港の建設（1908年＝明治41年開港）とともに出来たのが、この 長崎税関三池支署。
有明海は遠浅のため大型船が使える港がなかったため、三池港が建設される以前に三池炭鉱の石炭を海外へ輸出するときには、おもに大牟田港から口之津港（口之津以前は三角港）まで艀のような小型船で輸送して大型船に積み替えていた。
税関も口之津にあったが、三池港ができるとこの場所に税関支署も作られた。

有明高専の松岡教授によると、この建物が建てられた時期は定かではなく、文献では三池港務所五十年沿革史に明治43年（1910年）2月に三井から長崎税関三池支署仮庁舎を大蔵省に無料提供とあるのが初出だという。
海外に輸出するために税関は不可欠であり、開港時にはおそらく建っていたか、開港時は出張所めいたものがありその後この建物が出来たのかもしれない。
木造瓦葺き平屋建て。窓は上下開閉式。

This building of the Miike custom branch office in the Nagasaki custom offices was constructed at time when the Miike port was completed.
But time when this building was built do'nt turn out according to the paper wriiten by Prof. Matsuoka of Ariake Technical College.
It is written that that Mitsui Mining offered the Ministry of Finance this building branch in February, 1910 in the book Miike port 50 years history.



1910年に提供されたのが現在の建物で、1965年（昭和40年）3月まで税関として使用された。期間中、増築や改造も行われたがその時期は不明である。

税関が現在の場所に移転したあとは三池港務所の渠内事務所として使用されたが、この10年ほど放置状態だけに平成20年当時の写真（大牟田の近代化遺産）と比較しても荒廃が進んでいる。
明治の税関建築で残るのはここのほか4つ。
2010年、市指定文化財となり、既に一般会計補正予算で補修のための調査費も計上され「世界遺産の基準」に則した補修が行われるものと推測される。

After Miike branch office moved another place in 1965,Mitsui Mining used this building as the office of miike port.
Because this building has not been used for about ten years recently, it is getting rough.
Omuta City specified this building for the cultural asset of the city in 2010.
The repair with the standard of World Heritage will be done to this building in the future.
